Measure oil, honey and water into a small pot and heat until boiling. Toss everything together until evenly coated and pour into a baking pan, I line it with aluminum foil. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes, stirring every ten minutes. You want everything to be an even golden brown. When it is its done baking, return it to the mixing bowl, add the raisins and fruit and stir to combine.

This recipe is very versatile and you can alter it to fit the needs or tastes of your family. Make as much or as little as you want. If you want to try it a bit sweeter you can add brown sugar to the pot and melt that along with the oil/honey mixture. Play around with nuts, dried fruits, seasonings, or even peanut butter melted in the pot. You can even soak the oats first, as this aides in digestion, then bake it a bit longer. Have fun experimenting! Come back and share with me how your family enjoys this!

I put a few scoops into a bowl with honey on top and milk and eat it like I would Kashi. This is wonderful on top of my homemade yogurt! Yummy! Try it on ice cream too!

Blessings!

Integrity

I recently replaced my kitchen cannisters with a set bought from Samsclub.com, sadly before I could even use them the kitten knocked one off the counter and the lid shattered. I contacted the company to see if I could buy a replacement lid.

Well, Praise God for the wonderful people over at Steeltek, he found one and mailed via UPS! You can also find their products on Amazon.com. Also, Steeltek owns Loofah Art, which makes awesome certified organic produce scrubbers. I found a few great articles about them.

I'm not one to give "shout-outs" to businesses often but they deserve it for taking care of the customer without hesitation. Had they not found a replacement lid they would have sent me a whole new cannister. That is going above and beyond. They will have my business for a long time to come.

Blessings and Prayers,
The O'Dells
